Public Classes: the detail
- You will need your own equipment (or can hire it from me)
- Arrive Early, Leave on Time and No waiting in the foyer
Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before and leave promptly afterwards. I will be more observant about finishing class on time and will oversee students entering/leaving class. There will not be overlap between these, so 6pm class students must leave before 7.30pm class can enter. The doors will be locked during class, so unfortunately the habitually late (including myself) may need to adjust.
- No payments taken at class
All payments of any kind must now be taken through my online portal. If you have a class pass you will be asked to bring it along with a pen and sign it off yourself. If you are buying a new one I will provide it and let you complete the details yourself.
- Only one toilet open, no access to kitchen
The Church have reduced access to parts of the building including the kitchen and toilets: the only available toilet is the disabled toilet, so please come dressed for class and avoid unsocial toilet behaviour! Please come with a full water bottle.
- Text me FIRST NAME LAST NAME and TIME OF CLASS
You will be asked to text me on arriving at the church with your first name, last name and the beginning time of the class you are attending. This cannot be done in advance. If needed this data will be passed to help the track & trace scheme used by the government, otherwise all such data will be deleted 21 days after you have supplied it and conform to GDPR. My telephone number is 07792027622, save it now and you can breeze into your first class.
- Hand sanitiser available on entry/exit
Please make use of it! I will be responsible for disinfecting all door handles before and after class, should you feel the need to wash your hands before/after practicing please do so. I would like to highlight that phones are an excellent source for cross contamination: text me (above), put your phone on silent, tuck it away and then sanitise your hands. Remove watches and jewellery before as well.
- Wear your mask to your mat
Please come with a suitable face mask and wear it inside the building to your mat. You do not need to wear your mask to practice Yoga.
- We will keep 2 metres between mats
The layout of the room will be prepared to prevent the physical distancing measures in place being broken. There will be space between mats and rows as well as between the chairs used for storage at the back of the room. The distance of 2 metres is measured from the edge of the mat, not the centre.
At this time it would be unwise to provide physical assists in a public class. While I can provide bodywork using a face shield and disinfect thoroughly between clients this is impractical for a public Yoga class. It is however a great opportunity for us to learn new ways of being able to assist ourselves in our practice!
- If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms please stay home
This should go without saying – so I’m going to say it anyway: if you have a dry cough, raised temperature or change in taste/sense of smell please stay at home. The mat can wait. |
